Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to provide clients who are uninsured or self-pay (those without insurance or choosing not to use insurance) with a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of expected charges for psychotherapy and counseling services.

Your Rights:
• Right to a GFE: You are entitled to receive a GFE detailing the anticipated costs of non-emergency psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Requesting a GFE: You can request a GFE from your mental health provider before scheduling a service or at any time during treatment.
• Disputing Charges: If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your GFE, you have the right to dispute the charges.

Important Notes:
• Estimate Nature: The GFE is an estimate; actual charges may vary depending on the services provided.
• Additional Services: The GFE may not include unforeseen services that arise during treatment.

For Questions or More Information:
• Contact Us: For questions or more information about your rights regarding the GFE, or to dispute a current bill, please contact our office.
• Visit CMS: For further details, visit the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) website at www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Please save a copy of your GFE for your records. Your awareness of your rights and responsibilities helps us provide transparent and effective care.
